Brief History of Sathorn Church

​

     Sathorn Church was established in 1919 by American Presbyterian missionaries Rev. & Mrs. Albert Seigle in response to the need of oversea Cantonese speaking Chinese in Bangkok. Now a century later, Sathorn Church has evolved into a multi-cultural church offering worship in Cantonese, Thai and Cantonese/Thai bilingual services and English Sunday School classes. Our goal is to become the spiritual oasis for the people in the Sathorn/Bangrak area where believers can grow in faith and for those who seek will find God.

沙呑禮拜堂簡介

​

         泰國基督教總會第七區之沙吞禮拜堂於1919年由美國長老會國外傳道部的宣教士施恩達牧師夫婦 (Rev. & Mrs. Albert Seigle) 成立，目的向曼谷孟叻區操粵語的華裔泰民傳福音。時移世易，一百年後的沙呑禮拜堂已發展成為一個多元文化的教會；有粵語崇拜，泰語崇拜，粵泰雙語祟拜及英語主日學。我們的異象是成為曼谷沙吞/孟叻區的屬靈綠洲，信徒得造就成長，慕道者能認識救恩。

Our Belief

 

We believe that Bible is the highest authority of our faith; it is the inspired word of God to reveal His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ to us.

We believe in the trinity God; God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one.

We believe that God created the world and created men in His image.

We believe in the redemption of Jesus Christ on the cross for men’s sins; He died, was buried and resurrected on the third day; ascended to heaven, seated on the right hand of God and will come back again.

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit who convicts us of our sins and transforms our lives through our repentance.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the church; through whom believers are called to grow and serve the community of church and to carry out the Great Commission.

我們的信仰

 

我們相聖經是最高的權威，為神所默示之話語，透過耶穌基督向我們顯明救恩的計劃。

我們相信三位一體的真神：是聖父，聖子及聖靈。

我們相信神創造了世界，並按照祂的形象造了人類。

我們相信耶穌基督道成肉身，且死在十字架上替人贖罪、被埋葬、第三天復活、升天坐在全能者的右邊，將來必再回來。

我們相信聖靈的能力，使我們知罪悔改，並且改變我們的人生。

我們相信耶穌基督為教會的元首，信徒在主裡聯為一體，在社區裡遵行大使命。
